The 2009 event will be held at historic Fort Douglas on the beautiful campus of the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. This site was the location of the 2002 Winter Olympics athlete facilities. We are excited about this location because it will allow us to improve upon the already great value of this conference, without increasing the price.
The conference registration fee includes all meals beginning with breakfast on Wednesday, (June 17th) and ending with lunch on Friday, (June 19th). Registration for any of the pre-conference training workshops also includes meals. All dining will be provided in the Heritage Center, which offers a wide variety of choices. They include a hot entree bar, vegan bar, soup and salad bar, sandwich bar, pizza bar, grill, and desert bar. This facility was built for the 2002 Winter Olympic athletes.
For lodging, you can stay in the very nice University Guest House Hotel ($75/night) or you can stay in the residence halls as a part of your registration fee for an even less expensive option ($60/night single room; $50/night double room). If you are interested in a full service hotel, the Marriott University Park is located about 2 miles from the conference. The campus shuttle can take you to and from the Marriott. Most of the conference sessions will be held in the University Guest House hotel and the historic Officers Club next door. The University Guest house, Officers Club, residence halls, the Heritage Center and other facilities are located within easy walking distance of each other.
